Our Slovak Nursery “Lienky” is designed for children aged 3 to 6, offering a joyful introduction to Slovak through play, music, stories, movement, and creative activities. Sessions take place every second Saturday in a safe, nurturing, and encouraging setting that respects early childhood development and supports children’s natural curiosity and love of learning.

How Our Slovak Nursery Works

👧🏻 One stable group of children
The group is limited to a maximum of 15 children, allowing us to build a close-knit community, a sense of security, and plenty of individual attention.

🗣️ Communicative and play-based approach (pre-A1 to A1 CEFR)
The programme focuses primarily on listening and speaking skills, fully adapted to young learners. It is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) at pre-A1 to A1 levels.

📚 Thoughtfully designed and trusted materials
We use our own age-appropriate teaching materials, visuals, songs, and movement-based activities, complemented by methodologies and inspiration from accredited Slovak language course books, especially Aha, slovenčina, widely recognised in Slovak language education for children and non-native speakers.

🎯 Individual engagement for every child
Children are not tested or assessed formally. Teachers observe progress sensitively and involve each child according to their individual pace, confidence, and needs.

📜 Certificates of Completion
At the end of the school year, children receive a certificate of completion confirming their participation and language development.
Please note that this is not an official Slovak school report (“vysvedčenie”), which can only be legally issued by schools operating in Slovakia.
